Meet Dr. Jason Alster

I am proud to join Central Park West Dental as a second-generation dentist. I received my BA in psychology from George Washington University in Washington D.C. and later pursued a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Immediately following the completion of my master’s, I went on to receive my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU College of Dentistry, I was involved in many activities that led me to receive the Oral Cancer Foundation Award for Public Service. I also completed a one-year honors program in oral medicine and oral pathology.
Following dental school, I completed three months of an oral surgery internship at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and Medical Center, followed by a one-year general practice residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. I also completed a two-year part-time post-graduate fellowship in dental implant surgery at NYU College of Dentistry.
I continue to teach residents as an attending doctor in the Department of Dentistry at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Outside the office, I’m an avid skier, fisherman, and foodie. I love traveling with my wife, Katie, and spending time together with our two children.
